FACT: Most ya’llz on Gawker have been out of high school, if not college, for years (an extremely select few may still be in college or just recent graduates). All ya’llz are grown-ass people. You know, grown-ups . So unless you mean to tell me ya’llz be senior-frickin’-citizens cut this nonsense out.
FACT: You use the entire blog day in day out to voice your opinions on what’s shitty in pop culture anyway. It’s literally the raison d’etre for not only Deadspin but literally, without exception, all of its spinoff blogs (c’mon, you’re not going to tell me Concourse or Adequate Man is for absolutely anything else - hell Adequate Man is just a rip-off of Regular Car Reviews but for non-cars, and RCR is just weird, postmodern complaining about car things with even weirder, out-of-left field sexual innuendo that would make Harry S. Plinkett from Red Letter Media blush). It’s most of why Gawker exists, down to how Gawker got its frickin’ name in the first place. All ya’llz lookin’ for is an excuse to plaster your weak-ass Senior Week logo onto everything.
FACT: Ya’llz is a perfectly ballin’ word, bitches.
Yeah that’s all I got.

I don’t understand. What is senior week and why is it relevant to Gawker media being sold?

No we don’t.
Now get off my lawn!
![]() 08/09/2016 at 00:47 |

No I have to tell kids to get off my lawn instead and talk about how nickels had bumblebees on them back in the day.

I like it. I’m not nearly as tenured as a lot of folk around here, but as someone who started to come around during the “IDGAF” years and has watched that change demonstrably, it’s nice to see a brief return to the roots.

I can’t hear you I’m yelling at clouds with uncle vanos... Wait. Nope. Either I lost my spectacles or he’s yelling at kids to get off of his lawn.

I prefer to tell them about my walk to school.

I saw that this morning too. Seems like an excuse to add filler content by tossing some reruns out there.

Uphill both ways barefoot in 5 degree F blizzards.

You must have also gone to my school. Although sometimes I rode a bicycle to school. Just because. In said blizzard of course. The kind with the really pokey pedals and an enormous front wheel. Barefoot.

I would rather read Senior week stuff than have a page filled with non-related shares from other blogs.

the sad thing is that Gawker (and its writers) seem to expect us to feel sorry for them about this whole thing. They shit their own bed, they can lie in it.

I had to get up to pee.
![]() 08/09/2016 at 07:59 |

That’s luxury. I had to bike up hill both ways on square wheels through snow covered mine fields in no mans land while old men yelled at me about biking through the shell crater that was their lawn.

I believe it relates to the tradition where high school seniors finish up stuff they need to do to graduate and then fuck off the last week before graduation.

Hot take: the apostrophe in y’allz should be in the same place as in y’all, because most people are contracting “y(ou) al(l)“ and not “ya al(l)“. Pronouncing a double a like that in the first place is like stuttering - or being a Klingon. On the other hand, the Z is extremely legit: the 90s have told us this.

It basically allowing the writers to do what they like considering no one knows what's going to happen after the auction. I.e. senior week in high school, which is typically the last week before graduation.
